deadline.com/2015/03/joe-carnahan-motorcade-dreamworks-1201390975/Joe Carnahan Takes The Wheel On ‘Motorcade’ At DreamWorks DreamWorks has brought in a high octane filmmaker in Joe Carnahan to re-start the stalled thriller Motorcade. This has long seemed like a sure shot project but it has been in various states of development for years and has had the likes of Tom Cruise and Ryan Reynolds circling to play a disgraced Secret Service agent that gets embroiled in a kidnapping attempt of the President of the United States as the POTUS motorcade makes its way through Los Angeles. It got revived after new DreamWorks head Michael Wright went through the development titles and said something others have opined: why aren’t we making this? The script is by Billy Ray, who hatched it with Walter Parkes, whose Parkes + MacDonald Image Nation is producing. Laurie MacDonald is also producing and Evan Hayes is overseeing for P+M. Carnahan will do his own rewrite. He last helmed The Grey and is repped by CAA.
