Funny Or Die is holding “The Funny or Die Hideout” at SXSW this year on March 15-16. The humor website’s lineup includes that Sunday’s world premiere party for Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart’s Warner Bros. comedy Get Hard, which is bowing at the fest ahead of its March 27 release.
The Sunday event includes The Super Serious Show With James Adomian featuring Nick Kroll, Kurt Braunohler, Beth Stelling, John Early, Kyle Mizono, Red Bastard with a special appearance by Ferrell and Hart.
On Monday, Ryan Stickler and Jay Larson will broadcast their podcast “The Crabfeast” at 1 PM, followed by live show 7 Minutes In Purgatory with Ian Abramson, Nate Bargaze, Ron Fuches, Adam Clayton-Holland, Beth Stelling and Nick Thune. At night, Funny or Die will host an event with Hannibal Buress and Tig Notaro headlining with a special performance by Run The Jewels.
For the second year in a row at the Austin fest, Funny Or Die is partnering with Facebook to make content available to the social media site throughout the two-day pop-up.
The Hideout will hide out at The Belmont, located at 305 West Sixth St. in Austin. The fest runs March 13-22.
