There will be a pro wrestling show on 6/7, a Sunday, at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets. The show will be from 3-7 p.m. It's going to be an independent show built around appearances from Legends of Wrestling, with Ric Flair, Bill Goldberg, Bret Hart, Jim Duggan, Scott Steiner, The Nasty Boys, Ken Anderson, Garett Bischoff and Rob Van Dam already announced, with six live matches. The announcement is that there will be 30 wrestlers, and the ring will be set on second base. This is a wrestling show, not a pre or post-baseball game show. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. and they go on sale to the public on Friday. I believe the web site is www.mets.com and the code word for tickets tomorrow is WRESTLING

The New York Mets' Citi Field Stadium will be hosting a big Legends of Wrestling event in June with several wrestling legends, including Ric Flair, but a lot of the promotional material for the event was yanked from online overnight. This was likely done because someone from WWE sent them a cease & desist letter. Some of the names and material used to promote the event were WWE-owned.
Due to the size and scope of the stadium, the event was met with shock within WWE and there is some unhappiness over some of the Legends that are being featured since WWE will be in the same market for SummerSlam not long after.
