deadline.com/2015/02/kim-coates-officer-downe-sons-of-anarchy-1201378290/Kim Coates Follows ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ With Lead In ‘Officer Downe’ Two months after Sons Of Anarchy rode off into the sunset, start-to-finish SAMCRO soldier Tig Trager has a new gig. Kim Coates has been tapped to play the title character in Officer Downe, an indie adaptation of the Image Comics graphic novel by Joe Casey. Slipknot co-founder M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan is making his feature directing debut with the pic about an LA supercop routinely killed in the line of duty who is resurrected and sent back out into the fray time after time. Casey (Ultimate Spider-Man, Ben 10: Omniverse) wrote the script, with Mark Neveldine and Skip Williamson producing. This is a big role for Coates, whose dozens of credits stretch back to the mid-’80s. Along with all 95 episodes of FX’s biker drama Sons Of Anarchy, he has appeared on TV’s Crossing Lines, Prison Break, CSI: Miami and Smallville. He also had roles in the two most recent Resident Evil films and the hockey pic Goon. Coates is repped by Don Buchwald & Associates and Levity Entertainment Group.
