Dark Horse Comics’ Director of Publicity Jeremy Atkins has confirmed that Dark Horse will be “publishing Star Wars beyond 2013.” The fate of the popular line of Star Wars comics published by Dark Horse has been the source of much speculation since Disney, which had previously purchased Marvel Comics, paid $4 billion for Lucasfilm last October. Late last year the Disney watchers at the Blue Sky Disney blog reported that the Dark Horse license was up after 2013 and that Marvel would then begin publishing the Star Wars comics. Then in late April came a report from the Diamond Summit indicating that the Star Wars comics would stay at Dark Horse at least through the end of 2014.
