Thale Persen’s pic was attracted to the Czech Republic in part by the country’s production incentives. Barrandov is helping to cash flow the production, and is providing production services. Pic is a co-production between Film Kolektiv and Storm Films, in co-operation with Barrandov. Producers are Frederick Howard, Lars Hellebust and Pavel Bercik. The film is based on the hit Norwegian TV series of the same name, which tells the story of Kevin, who finds a way into the magical Valley of Knights, where he befriends the king, and they battle their common enemy, the king’s evil brother, who wants to seize the throne.
