www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/berlin-relativity-shifts-german-output-771177Ryan Kavanaugh's Relativity Studios has signed a new, multi-year output deal with Herbert Kloiber's Tele-Munchen Group, shifting its films from troubled German distributor Senator. Relativity's previous output agreement with Senator expired at the end of last year and was not extended. Under the terms of the new deal, TMG will distribute all films on Relativity's slate in Germany and Austria. Relativity also extended its deal with Imagem Filmes under which the Brazilian-based group will distribute both Relativity Studio films and third-party titles overseen by Relativity International across Latin America. In a smaller deal, Relativity signed a new output deal for the Philippines with local distributor Viva, which will also cover Relativity International's third party films. Relativity signed its first German output deal with Senator back in 2011 but the Berlin-based distributor ran into major financial problems in 2013 and was forced into a major corporate restructuring which resulted in the company merging with French group Wild Bunch earlier this week.
