Abbey Lee (“Drive”), Jena Malone (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1″), and Bella Heathcote (“Dark Shadows”) round out the eclectic cast of up-and-coming actresses. Refn’s partner, Lene Borglum (“Valhalla Rising,” “Only God Forgives”), is producing via their company Space Rocket. The key crew of “The Neon Demon” comprises Refn‘s regular collaborators: editor Matthew Newman and composer Cliff Martinez. Gaumont and Wild Bunch are shopping the project at the EFM and have started discussions with U.S. buyers. The two Paris-based companies teamed on Refn’s last film, “Only God Forgives,” which world premiered in competition at Cannes. Production is slated to begin March 30.

The pic also stars Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Abbey Lee (“Drive”), Jena Malone (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1″), and Bella Heathcote (“Dark Shadows”) and is Refn’s follow-up to “Only God Forgives,” starring Ryan Gosling. It is being financed by Gaumont and Wild Bunch. Plot details are unknown at this time. Refn’s partner, Lene Borglum (“Valhalla Rising,” “Only God Forgives”), is producing via their company Space Rocket. Refn and Mary Laws penned the script. Production is set to begin on March 30. No distributor has been locked in yet, though Gaumont and Wild Bunch were recently at the European Film Market selling the pic for international distribution. Glusman can be seen next in the Roland Emmerich pic “Stonewall” and in “Embers” alongside Jason Ritter.

He will play a fashion impresario who taps Elle Fanning as his muse. The project reunites Nivola with both Fanning and Christina Hendricks, who played his daughter and wife in the Sally Potter-directed 2012 film Ginger and Rosa. Nivola was most recently seen in the JC Chandor-directed A Most Violent Year, and in the Ava DuVernay-directed Selma. He also starred opposite Bradley Cooper in The Elephant Man, which just finished a Broadway run in February. He will rejoin Cooper and play the role of Dr. Frederick Treves in the London production of the same play. He’ll jump on a plane right after he completes Neon Demon in May. Nivola is repped by CAA and Management 360.
