Doc follows a group of friends from a Welsh working man’s club who decide to raise a racehorse, which goes on the become a champion. “Dark Horse” is produced by Judith Dawson; it’s a DSP and World’s End Pictures production for Film4 and BFI in association with Film Agency Wales, and executive produced by Julian Ware, Lizzie Francke, Anna Higgs, Anna Miralis and Adam Partridge. The deal was negotiated with Sony Pictures Classics by Protagonist head of sales Vanessa Saal. Protagonist is selling the film at EFM and screening it in the market.
