www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=59074&utm_campaign=luke-mitchell-gets-inhuman-for-marvels-agents-of-shield&utm_medium=email&utm_source=breaking_bulletinAs the back half of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season two rapidly approaches, the show has cast Luke Mitchell as an Inhuman named Lincoln, as revealed Thursday by Marvel.com. Lincoln, described as "a charismatic Inhuman," will play a key role in helping Skye adjust to the new seismic abilities she gained in the mid-season finale, "What They Become." Here's Marvel's official full description: "Luke Mitchell will make his debut this season as a charismatic Inhuman named Lincoln, who has an important role to play in Skye understanding the true extent of her transformation." "With the revelations surrounding Skye's true identity in the Winter Finale, we knew we’d be introducing more Inhumans as our story progressed," Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel's Head of Marvel Television, said in the announcement. "The charming energy Luke brings to the role that will make him a character to watch as we continue our season." Though there's no Inhuman known by that name in the comics, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." hasn't been shy about using some recent creations; making it possible that Lincoln will be either an original or upcoming creation. For instance, a character resembling Reader -- who was introduced in Charles Soule and Ryan Stegman's "Inhuman" ongoing series last year -- debuted briefly in the "S.H.I.E.L.D." midseason finale. Mitchell was one of the main characters on The CW's "The Tomorrow People," and appeared on Australian soap opera "Neighbours." No episode number or date has been revealed for his character's debut. "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 on ABC.

variety.com/2015/tv/news/agents-of-shield-luke-mitchell-casting-inhumans-1201425212/‘Agents of SHIELD’ Adds Luke Mitchell for ‘Inhuman’ Role “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” has cast “The Tomorrow People’s” Luke Mitchell in a recurring “Inhumans”-related role. Mitchell will play Lincoln, a charismatic Inhuman who has an important role in helping Skye (Chloe Bennet) understand the true extent of her transformation. The Inhumans, as they are known in the Marvel-verse, are a race of beings that have been genetically enhanced by the Kree, the same alien species from “Guardians of the Galaxy.” It was revealed in “SHIELD’s” midseason finale that Skye is actually Inhuman Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, and that her father, played by Kyle MacLachlan, is Dr. Calvin Zabo/Mr. Hyde, a villain in the comicbooks. Developing the Inhumans story in “SHIELD” comes ahead of Marvel launching an “Inhumans” feature film in 2018. “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” returns to ABC on March 3 at 9 p.m.
