Students of all ages dressed up as their favorite characters and participated in a plethora of activities. A cosplay contest allowed contestants to show off their unique and elaborate costumes, which drew a large pool of contestants and a large crowd. Student clubs such as the Dr. Who Club and Fantasy Club set up booths, as well as Von’s comics. There were Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon tournaments and a caricature artist. Popular comic writer Dirk Manning guest lectured, exciting the audience with his insight on comics. Original writer and producer of “The Simpsons” Mike Reiss mesmerized fans and provided a meet and greet with those who got the opportunity to sign up for a spot. “The Simpsons Movie” played throughout the event, with a special showing later that night. To say the least, PSUB provided a diverse amount of entertainment for anyone who decided to come. “I really liked being able to go to an event like this one. I think that there sometimes just aren’t enough events on campus to show different hobbies,” said Sarah McKee, a senior in the College of Engineering and first time Comic Con goer. “This really allowed different kinds of students to participate.”
