Universal Pictures International Entertainment to Land Foreign Rights to ‘The Overnight’
Universal Pictures International Entertainment is closing in on a deal for foreign rights to “The Overnight,” sources tell Variety.
The pact would be for roughly $1 million. The racy comedy snagged North American distribution on Monday after the Orchard beat out the likes of IFC and Radius-TWC for the film.
“The Overnight” centers on a couple whose evening with their new neighbors takes a turn for the perverse. Adam Scott, Taylor Schilling, Jason Schwartzman and Judith Godreche star and Patrick Brice directs. The film was produced by Gettin’ Rad Productions (Adam and Naomi Scott’s company) and the Duplass brothers.
ICM Partners and Submarine negotiated the sale of the picture.
