The last time Bruce McDonald had a movie at the Sundance Film Festival, Bill Clinton was living in the Arkansas Governor’s mansion. The filmmaker’s Highway 61 screened at Park City in 1992, and now he’s back with the Halloween-night creepshow Hellions, which premiered January 25.
In our video chat, Ontario-born McDonald ruminates on how Sundance has changed in nearly a quarter-century and compares it to the Toronto International Film Festival, which he notes is bigger and more international that the more indie and intimate Utah gathering. Have a look.
