JARRETT HEADING TO SOUTH AFRICA
World Wrestling Professionals (WWP) in South Africa held a press conference at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth announcing the biggest show in the company's history, titled, "WrestleMonster" on 2/28/15 in conjunction with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling.
Jarrett was not at the conference but sent a video promo where he stated how important the South Africa market was to the GFW promotion i ndicated how important the South African market was to GFW and that he would be working the Stadium show as well as other events promoted by WWP. Jarrett also teased the idea of signing South African wrestlers to GFW.
Beyond Jarrett, announced for the 2/28 event are former WWE star and longtime European talent Joe E. Legend (Just Joe), British star Erin Angel as well as local talents Tornado, Ananzi, Mr Wrestling and "Kwaito Kid" Zama Njokweni. Nigeria's Kilimanjaro and India's Sangram Singh were also announced.
The only bout announced for the show thus far is Sagram Singh vs. Joe E. Legend for the promotion's vacant WWP Commonwealth Championship.
The press conference also announced that "50% of the gate" would go towards "wrestling development" with the idea of building a wrestling school in Port Elizabeth with Zama Njokweni heading the training.
