Under the Dome showrunner Neal Baer and Conde Nast are collaborating on a new TV drama for The CW based on pulp hero The Avenger. The character will undergo considerable updating, with the current plan calling for a female lead who develops the superpower of changing her appearance at will as the result of genetic bio-hacking, and uses it to investigate her parents’ murders.The Avenger has been a relatively dormant character, except for some brief attention as part of DC’s First Wave line a few years back.
