Kent, who came from the Chicago area, moved to the Twin Cities in 1950 as a radio announcer and remained in the market the rest of his life. He had a great radio voice and had a long career as a disc jockey, news anchor, weatherman, and hosted a number of television shows with a career that started long before wrestling and continued long past wrestling. A huge man, it was always awkward when he did interviews because he was larger than almost all the wrestlers, which is why they usually used Marty O'Neil and Gene Okerlund, who were much smaller, to handle them. Kent would be synonymous with AWA wrestling, as the voice of the promotion for most of its run. Kent was living in Cook, MN. There will be a memorial service for Kent on 12/14 at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting ni St. Louis Park MN from 2-5 p.m. s1029.photobucket.com/user/Simonlove69/media/kent_med_zpsce6d1634.jpg.html
