Fly, a creator owned comic book by Raven Gregory drawn by Eric J and published by Zenescope, has been optioned by Fox Television. Fly is the story of a drug that gives people the power to fly, and the insatiable desire of those who use it to get their next “fix”. There’s been a spate of flight-related superpower activity of late, including Marvel’s adaptation of the Maximum Ride books, and this would fit well in that Young Adult niche. Could “flight” be the next “vampires”? We knows this, because Zenescope just sent Raven Gregory a cheque, telling him the news. And he just told us. And gave us the statement, so we know that he got paid around $4,000 for the privilege. Gregory tells us that Zenescope will have received twice that, as he is due half. Gregory stopped working for Zenescope earlier this year and tells me that it has been two years since he received any payment for any of the collections of his creator owned work for Zenescope, including Fly. And that Zenescope don’t return his calls or e-mails anymore. I guess they might start now. s1029.photobucket.com/user/Simonlove69/media/z1_zpsa64ccdc9.jpg.htmls1029.photobucket.com/user/Simonlove69/media/z3_zps3effd13d.jpg.html
