www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=57191CHRIS PRATT REPORTEDLY SET TO STAR IN "COWBOY NINJA VIKING" FILM "Guardians of the Galaxy's" Chris Pratt already may have another comic book adaptation on his playlist. According to Collider, the actor is attached to star in Universal Pictures' "Cowboy Ninja Viking," based on the Image Comics series by AJ Lieberman and Riley Rossmo. Debuting in October 2009, the comic centers on the title character, the child of a psychotherapist who recruits patients with multiple personality disorder to create a unit of counter-intelligence agents called the Triplets. When those agents become out-of-control assassins, the deadliest Triplet of them all, Cowboy Ninja Viking, is called in to take them down. The film rights were originally acquired in 2010 by Disney, but the script by "Zombieland" screenwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese reportedly was deemed too edgy, and the project passed in 2012 to Universal. Mark Foster ("Quantum of Solace," "World War Z") was set to direct at that time, but Collider contends he's no longer attached. Mark Gordon ("Saving Private Ryan") and Management 360 ("Game of Thrones") remain as producers. A hot property following "Guardians of the Galaxy's" $770 million global box-office haul, Pratt is heading into the final season of NBC's "Parks and Recreation." He'll next be seen on the big screen in "Jurassic World," due June 13 from Universal.
