The Endemol USA/Entertainment One drama has a 14-episode pickup to be be split over seven-episode runs in summer 2015 and summer 2016. “Hell on Wheels” has been a lower-profile series for AMC during its run but the drama set against the backdrop of the railroad building boom of the late 1800s has been a workhorse for the cabler on Saturday nights. The 10 episodes to date of season four have averaged 3.4 million viewers in Nielsen’s live-plus-3 measure. “Hell on Wheels” will wrap its fourth season later this month. Anson Mount and Colm Meaney star. Brothers Joe and Tony Gayton created the series. John Wirth has been showrunner since season three.
