The owner of Astro Zombies said a man gave him a list of comic books, including their certification numbers, that had been stolen from a vehicle about two weeks earlier. On Friday, two people — later identified as 24-year-old Marcelo Hernandez and 23-year-old Stacie Niavez — came into the store around 1 p.m. with three boxes of books that matched the description and serial number of the stolen goods, police said. Stacie Niavez, 23. The owner pretended to be getting the duo an estimate for the books, worth $100 a piece, while he called police. Police found Hernandez and Niavez outside the store and arrested them. They were both charged with receiving and transferring stolen property and conspiracy, and Niavez was also charged with possession of drugs. They were booked into the county jail.
