WWE officially announced at tonight's SmackDown tapings in Philadelphia that the 2015 Royal Rumble pay-per-view will take place from the Wells Fargo Center from Philadelphia.

The Rumble will take place on January 25th.

Tickets go on sale this Friday but apparently they were available to fans at tonight's tapings.

It was also announced that the Rumble match will once again feature 40 competitors.

PWInsider reports that WWE officials have been talking about possibly using an ECW Original or two as a surprise at the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble, since it's being held in Philadelphia.

Kane and Big Show were officially added to the 30-man Royal Rumble main event at last night's SmackDown tapings. A WWE Tag Team Title match with The Usos defending against Stardust and Goldust was also added to the card. Below is the updated confirmed Rumble card:
