Pro Wrestler and pro football player Don Manoukian a/k/a "Don The Bruiser" died this week at the age of 80.
Manoukian wrestled in the 1960s at a time when pro football players made more money in pro wrestling than in pro football.
In football, Manoukian played for the Oakland Raiders, which was an AFL team at the time prior to the merger with the NFL.
Manoukian was born in California, moved to Reno, Nevada, and played football college football at Stanford back in California before transitioning to the Raiders and pro wrestling.
Manoukian wrestled in California, Texas, and Portland, Oregon for Pacific Northwest Wrestling. According to his AP bio, Manoukian also wrestled in Japan.
Manoukian retired to Reno, Nevada, where he died this week.
