variety.com/2014/tv/news/molly-glynn-dead-chicago-fire-tree-1201300930/ “Chicago Fire” actress Molly Glynn died Saturday in Chicago after being hit by a falling tree during a storm while biking, according to officials. She was 46. Glynn was riding on a bike trail with her husband, actor Joe Foust, when a storm broke out. It uprooted the tree that killed her. Along with NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” where she played an emergency room doctor, Glynn appeared in Starz drama “Boss.” Glynn was also a regular in Chicago’s theater scene. She appeared in plays at the Steppenwolf, Writers and Chicago Shakespeare theaters. “Molly was a marvelous actress and a completely warm-hearted and generous human being,” said Writers Theatre artistic director Michael Halberstam. “She had grace, sophistication and a sparkling, sexy, sassy stage presence. It is an incalculable loss to the Chicago theater community, particularly as she was in the process of emerging as one of the city’s major players.” Glynn’s last role was an understudy at the Writers Theatre in the play “Dance of Death.” The actress is survived by her husband and her two sons.
