While it isn't being stated publicly, it was described in a recent report by Dave Meltzer that it is "pretty much a lock" that TNA and Spike TV will be parting ways when the new television extension deal expires at the end of 2014.
While the public word from both sides is that they are continuing to negotiate, actual negotiations with Spike TV regarding a new deal ended several days before the TMZ story broke on 7/28. The Velocity channel and WGN America are the only two channels that have come out publicly, while TNA is said to be in talks with at least two additional channels as well.
As noted in a report earlier this month, TNA is currently in a freeze period with talent and are making very few if any new deals with the television future in limbo. Talent on per-show deals aren't expected to be earning much following the upcoming Impact Wrestling tapings in Pennsylvania this week as the company has no future tapings or house shows scheduled for 2014 with the exception of the Bound for Glory PPV on 10/12 in Japan.
