Pro Wrestling News:
---This has gotten no pub, and I wonder how several companies are going to work around this, but the Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling commission passed a rule yesterday prohibiting women (or men for that matter) fighters with breast implants from participating in matches. The key is that, this law would include next year's WrestleMania. Now, for sure, it's Louisiana and someone's paying someone and there will likely be women with implants performing at Mania next year. They did leave an out that if their plastic surgeon who performed the surgery sends a letter they can be cleared. Right now the law is only in effect for 60 days, at which point unless it's overturned, it will become permanent. Right now it will affect some MMA fights coming up. Dr. Thomas Ferguson of the Louisiana commission said he doesn't believe a plastic surgeon would sign off. "I don't know of a single plastic surgeon who is going to allow his artistic work to be messed up," he said. While there are a few examples of women having implants rupture while wrestling in other states, they are rare, and I've never heard of them happening in MMA or boxing. No other state that I'm aware of his similar restrictions. The law would also apply to men who have had pec implants.

---Chris Jericho was a recent guest on The LAW - Live Audio Wrestling promoting his Fozzy show this Sunday night in Toronto at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. The full 30-minute interview is available at this link and on iTunes. Below are some highlights, transcribed by Chris Maffei: His program with Fandango: "It's actually a feather in my cap. Not to be a jerk, but he was working with Chris Jericho in his first match ever on the show at WrestleMania. If that doesn't put you on a different level, then nothing will. I knew that he'd have to come back down to earth at some point, because the fans aren't gonna believe in him working with other people, because there's not a lot of Chris Jerichos out there, and I say that with all due respect. What I mean by that is a guy who's been around for as long as I have, with the fanbase that I have, the reputation that I have. People know that it's going to be good, and something special, no matter what it is. Even if it's a guy they've never seen. I put a lot of input into what we did with him to build that. "Everything that we did, I meticulously thought of. 'What should we do to get this guy over?' Well, rule number one - I want to try and get this leg drop over. Rule number two - I want him to be a kick-ass heel when he's getting his heat, because the gimmick is so ridiculous that if he doesn't show that viciousness during the match, no one's going to buy it. Little tricks like that that I've learned over the years that other people don't know, and Fandango doesn't know because he's inexperienced. It was, like I said, a real feather in my cap. Fandango, the night after WrestleMania, was the most over performer in the company." His thoughts on TNA: "TNA has to do something different. I think the worst move they've made was Hogan and Bischoff and Sting. Nothing against those guys, but we've seen it so many times. It's the third go-around for those guys now in the last 15 years. There's people out there, revolutionary people, that can take it in a different direction. "They've gotta get some different minds and some different faces and start working from within. That's just my opinion. I think that they're happy doing what they're doing. They never get any bigger, they never get any smaller. If that's what you're into, that's fine, but for me, I always want to take things to the next level and take some chances. If you don't, and you're just doing the same thing over and over again, then it gets boring. Good luck to them. I hope they do survive." You can catch The LAW every Sunday night at Midnight ET on TSN 1050 Toronto, The TEAM 1410 Vancouver, Sirius/XM 167 and liveaudiowrestling.com.

I hope they do survive."
