John Carpenter At Wizard World Chicago
Director of such classics as Halloween (1978), Escape From New York (1981), The Thing (1982) and Christine (1986), John Carpenter will appear at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con this month.
Carpenter, whose other works include The Fog (1980), Big Trouble in Little China (1986) and Prince of Darkness (1987), will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for photo ops and and conduct an interactive Q&A panel in which he'll discuss his great films.
See him at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Friday through Sunday, August 22-24.
'Avengers vs. X-Men' Artist Leinil Yu To Make
Rare U.S. Appearance At Wizard World Chicago
Artist Alley at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con will have a decidedly international flavor in 2014, with the addition of Filipino creator Leinil Yu, whose work on "Avengers vs. X-Men," "Wolverine," "Spider-Man," and many other popular titles has earned worldwide acclaim.
Yu's credits also include "Fantastic Four," "Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk," "New Avengers" and "Superman: Birthright."
In addition to his comics work, Yu also desigined the debut album of the Filipino pop music group The Pin-Ups.
See him at Table #A34 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Aug. 21-24.
