Charles Keating, who won a Daytime Emmy for the NBC soap opera Another World, has died. He was 72. His former Another World costar Alicia Coppola shared the news on Twitter, writing, "Charles Keating has passed. I am so very sad." She also called him her "very first acting teacher" and wrote she was "so honored to have learned from the best." Keating was born in England and got his start on the stage before breaking into television. He went on to play the villainous Carl Hutchins in Another World, which earned him the outstanding lead actor in a drama series Daytime Emmy in 1996. In 1986, he was nominated for a Tony for his work in the revival of Loot. His other credits include stints on All My Children and As the World Turns. On the big screen he appeared in 1992's The Bodyguard and 1990's Awakenings. Fellow Another World alum Mark Pinter remembered Keating on Facebook with a quote from Hamlet: “He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again.”
