---Christian York was interviewed yestterday by 106.7 The Fan in Washington DC afternoon by Chad Dukes of ChadDukesWrestling.com. Full audio for the interview is at this link. Here are some highlights: His release from TNA: "It was the same time everyone else was getting released, they just called, I guess it was like July 2nd or 3rd or something, said 'they gotta give you your release.' I hadn't heard back from them at all in a while, in May whenever I worked for them last, it was just, they had to let me go. They had to make budget cuts. When they have nothing that they can do for ya, they can't fit you into the stories, you're just sitting at home collecting a paycheck they're gonna have to make a budget cut. That was just the way it was." If he feels he got a fair shake: "I don't know if I'd say I didn't get a fair shake, I don't think I got to live up to the potential that I think I have. I think maybe in the beginning they were just testing the waters with me to see if I could get over. I really have no idea because I never got any feedback. I thought I was having some good matches with people, especially with Jeff and Bobby Roode, had some good stuff. Then all of the sudden you don't show up for TV anymore, you're just sitting at home collecting a paycheck. I was doing house shows and stuff but that was it. I was just grateful that they gave me a shot." The state of TNA: "To be honest I think the company's just trying to get through, so you have to make changes. WWE has to make changes with what they want to do the day of the show. You can't just say this is how it's going to be and six months from now this is how we're going to get there, because things change. Guys get injuries, it's ever changing. The guys sitting at home, everybody has the answers, right? The ones that don't do it, everybody has the answers, and everybody thinks it's easy, but it's not. To try and run a company, that's trying to do something that big, that's not an easy thing to do. You have a lot of outside things going on, it's not just about wrestling." Daniel Bryan: "I think he's an inspiration for anybody trying to get there. I mean he's what, 5'8" and he doesn't fit the mold like you said but I think pound for pound he's the best wrestler in the world. He's the best worker in the world. You can have him do anything and he's gonna make it work." Bobby Roode: "The guy I like, I like Bobby Roode. I think Bobby Roode is an awesome talent. I really do. I think he can have a good match with anybody and he gets the job done." Bray Wyatt: "When the buzz started going around about it, I guess when he first started doing the gimmick, I checked it out on YouTube that was before he hit the big stage, it was just the FCW, NXT or whatever. I saw his promos and said, 'This is cool. I like this. This is definitely fresh.' But I've been a fan of that guy's work. I was a fan of him as when he was Husky Harris. I enjoy seeing a big guy like him, his build, his weight, that can just move like a freight train. But i think the character's awesome. I hope there's a lot of longevity in that."

---WWE house show report 9-7 Windsor, ONT
Quick results:
- Dolph Ziggler won a Battle Royal to earn the right to wrestle Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship (Christian's injury / concussion wasn't ever announced or acknowledged, they just opened the show with this), last eliminating Damien Sandow. Everyone on the card except the Wyatt Family (and the women, obviously) were in this. About 15 minutes.
- Big E Langston (working 100% babyface) defeated Damien Sandow in 6 minutes with the Big Ending.
- The Prime Time Players defeated 3MB (Heath and Jinder - no sign of Drew) in 12 minutes when Titus pinned Jinder with the "Clash of the Titus" sitout spinebuster.
- Naomi pinned AJ in a non-title match (AJ said she would not be defending her title before the match) in about 7 minutes.
- The R-Truth vs. Fandango "Dance Contest" (as voted on by Twitter) was brief - both men did a dance, but Fandango attacked Truth during his dance and that was good enough to make it a match. Truth won with the Lie Detector in about 6 minutes.
- After intermission, the Wyatt Family defeated Tons of Funk in about 9 minutes when Harper pinned Brodus after a discus clothesline.
- Ryback pinned Xavier Woods in about 7 minutes with the Shellshock. Lots of pre-match bullying antic with the referee, then Ryback noted various things "The Big Man" can't stand (it was actually very reminiscent of the 2001 Steve Austin promos done off-air where he would keep saying "if there's on thing I can't stand...") such as Canada or WWE sending people from NXT to try and make a name when he's picked up the likes of Mark Henry and Great Khali.
- Dolph Ziggler defeated Alberto Del Rio in an excellent, excellent match by DQ when Alberto shoved the ref into Ziggler to set-up the Armbar. They did the deal where the ref rang the bell while Dolph was in the submission but then announced the real finish. Del Rio went to attack Ziggler with a chair post match but failed. From ring entrances, to some old school (but very effective) stalling tactics, to the match itself, it was a 35 minute deal.
---WWE…IZOD CENTER/MEADOWLANDS HOUSE SHOW..Sat. Sept. 7th
Entire upper level unsold/blocked off
Good show overall – 2 hours 40 minutes including intermission
DEAN AMBROSE W ROB VAN DAM, pin (clean) in an excellent opener to retain U.S. title. Strong throughout, fast paced. Ambrose dominated in first half of match; Van Dam in second half. Finish: RVD leaps off of top ropes onto Ambrose, who flips position midair, and hooks legs coming down. ** ½
SAMMY ZANE & BO DALLAS W ANTONIO CAESARO & JACK SWAGGER when Dallas pinned Antonio with a crocodile clutch. Finish: Zane throws Swagger outside of ring and dives on top of him, while Antonio tries to lift Dallas who flips and locks in clutch for pin. Decent match; Dallas looked good. * ½
VICKY GUERERRO out. She introduces THE BIG SHOW. She said that she spoke to HHH, who wanted SHOW to sit and watch the Orton-Bryan main event tonight, but not interfere.
>NATALYA W BRIE BELA. Submission, sharpshooter. Adequate. Earlier in the evening, they had fans text whether they wanted a match or a dance off. Fans voted for dance off. They started, but Bella attacked Natalya, and the ref started a match anyway. ½*
Promo airs on screen with Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel, talking about IC title match later. Customized for market: Heyman also talks about the stench of New Jersey.
THE SHIELD W USOS, pin, to retain the tag belts. Rollins with a running knee and pin. Solid match as you would expect. **
TYSON KIDD W DREW MCINTYRE, neckbreaker off top rope and pin. DUD.
CM PUNK W CURTIS AXEL (with Paul Heyman), pin, in a no dq. match. Match had been advertised on TV each week (in local markets) as a title match; but Heyman announced that he found a clause in the contract that because of the no dq stips, this really wasn’t a title match.
Punk came to the ring with a kendo stick and started hammering Axel when the bell rang. Heyman intereferd, and as Punk was about to hit him with the stick, the low blow came. Good back and forth with Punk and Axel. Later in the match Punk finally hit Heyman with the stick; then GTS and pin. Good match. **
BRAD MADDOCKS came out with a chair, and invited BIG SHOW to sit and watch the main event. He reminded SHOW that he could not interfere.
DANIEL BRYAN (with Big Show sitting watching at ringside) won on DQ over RANDY ORTON In the WWE title match, due to outside interference by the Shield. Very good, almost 25 minute match. Match started out okay, but built nicely and both men worked – each did their moves (except no RKO). As Bryan finally locked in the submission, Shield charged out for the DQ. At first, they beat Bryan down 3 on 1 as Show watched helplessly; then SHOW had enough, charged ring, and the faces cleaned house to close the show. ** 1/2
No return date announced.

---PWE from last night, from Ontario, not sure of the city, the big deal was supposed to be Ricky Marvin coming in and defending the PWE title which he won in Mexico. Due to not having a visa for Canada, Marvin wasn't able to wrestle as advertised. To the company's credit, they did release that info to the media ahead of time and put it on Facebook, which puts them one step ahead of WWE in professionalism under identical circumstances. Instead, the show was a one-night tournament for Marvin's vacated title: Hornet b Mike Hart (Smith Hart's son, Stu's grandson), Johnny Wave b John Greed, Ruffy Silverstein b Chris Garvin, Carter Mason b Jodie Valentine, Rip Impact b Rhys Greenaway, Ruffy Silverstein b Carter Mason, Johnny Wave b Hornet, Johnny Wave b Ruffy Silverstein to win the tournament
