7/11 TNA RESULTS FROM JAMESTOWN, NY
Kevin Hover sent this report.
TNA results from Jamestown, NY.
They are still using the 4 sided ring. Sad to see no JB in attendance tonight, the man truly bleeds TNA. Of all people, Rockstar Spud, in a suit only Don Cherry would be proud of, was anointed the ring announcer through an "email" from Dixie Carter.
TNA World Tag Team Champions The American Wolves def Bromans in 9 minutes when Davey Richards tombstoned Robbie E. Good opener, lots of playful jabbing at the audience about back stage passes, mixed with good stiff Wolves wrestling.
TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim def Angelina Love with Eat Defeet in 7 min.
Mr. Anderson...Anderson def Samuel Shaw in 9 min. with the Mic Check. More of a gimmick than a match, Shaw, in street clothes, came out to "apologize" to Ken, faked a hamstring injury for way too long, then eventually got squashed. Apparently there's nothing better for TNA's resident asshole.
Samoa Joe over Gunner in another 7 minute contest. Show of honor between the two after to applause.
20 minute Intermission. Earl Hebner's still selling and signing the "you know what Right I Did" shirts.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley def. Eric Young with a spear out of nowhere at 9 min.
Main event, a Tables Match
Bubba Ray vs. Ethan Carter III. Bully ended up winning in about 7 min. by putting Rockstar Spud, who inserted himself into the match, through a table.
As always, a decent house show from TNA, though really short in terms of length of matches and overall for the show. In and out in just over two hours. For a company that regularly runs 4 hour tv tapings, even one long match would've been nice.
Nice little hockey arena in Jamestown, maybe holds about 2,500. Wouldn't be a bad place for them to hold TV. I'm horrible with guessing attendance, but I'd say 700 people there. The floor seats were 90% filled, and a few sections of seats.
I drove down from Buffalo (about an hour and a half). TNA puts on fun shows, but their advertising is the worst. If I hadn't actually gone onto www.impactwrestling.com I would've never known there was a show within driving distance.

I was at the TNA house show last night in Jamestown NY & here's what went down.
Since Jeremy Borash is in England promoting the next season if bout camp, our guest ring announcer for the evening was Rockstar Spud. I was hoping for Christy Hemme, but I think I'm one of the few who think Spud is funny so I didn't mind it. The first match was Jesse & DJ Z of the Bro-Mans vs The Wolves for the tag titles. Before the match started Spud announced there would be no backstage passes since JB wasn't there, but Eddie Edwards got him to agree that if the champs won there would be passes given out. So naturally Davey & Eddie got the win after Eddie kicked Z in the face before Davey dropped him with a tombstone.
Next match was for the Knockouts title as Angelina Love (with Velvet Sky of course) took on Gail Kim. A very good match, though candidly I was distracted by Velvet bouncing at ringside, that saw Gail win with Eat DaFeet.
Our next match was Sam Shaw vs Ken Anderson. At one point Sam did a leapfrog & acted as if he'd hurt his knee, to the point people came out to help him to the back before he attacked Anderson. Ken won with the Mic Check. After the match Anderson made Soud stand on a chair to simulate his mic drop.
My favorite match of the night was next, Gunnar vs Samoa Joe. A great match, although it was hard for the crowd to really get into it due to the face vs face dynamic. After back & forth action Joewon with the kokina clutch. After the match there was a stare down, which ended in a hand shake.
After intermission was the TNA World Heavyweight title match, with Eric Young challenging Bobby Lashley. As big as Lashley looks on tv, he's three times that in person. EY made a good showing but Lashley wins after the spear.
The main event was EC3 vs Bully Ray in a tables match. Spud introduced Carter with much fanfare & after EC3 made the obligatory "the best thing about Jamestown is leaving" joke, he insisted Spud give Bully a "proper introduction. So of course he said a bunch of insulting things about Bully, who came out to the biggest pop of the night. Towards the end of the match Spud interjected himself and said he'd just got an email from "Madam Dixie" & this was now a handicap match. Bully came back to put Spud through the table. Afterwards he gave a piece of the table to a little girl in the front row he brought into the ring & signed it for her. All in all a great night of TNA action, I'm looking forward to seeing the NYC shows starting thursday.
