www.deadline.com/2014/07/rip-legendary-cameraman-sonny-miller/Sonny Miller, known in the surfing world as one of the best cameramen around and who worked on Alcon Entertainment’s remake Point Break for a few days in February, has died of a heart attack, it was confirmed by an Alcon spokeswoman. Miller was 53. He was a specialist in filming in the water and surf, and he worked on Die Another Day and on the surf movie Blue Crush. He was best known for his masterful camera maneuvers for such surf films as The Search, Tripping The Planet, and Searching For Tom Curren, about the legendary surfer. He first began his career as a still photographer, capturing some of the most breathtaking moments in surfing for Surfer magazine in the 1980s. Miller lived in Encinitas, CA, and, according to Surfer, passed only a week after his mother died.
