variety.com/2014/film/news/ill-give-you-the-sun-movie-adaptation-warner-bros-jandy-nelson-1201245408/Warner Bros. has acquired the movie rights to Jandy Nelson’s upcoming coming of age novel “I’ll Give You the Sun.” The studio has set the project with Warner-based Denise Di Novi and Alan Greenspan. Di Novi’s credits include “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” “Crazy Stupid Love” and “Nights in Rodanthe.” Dial Press, a division of Penguin, will publish the novel in September. Courtenay Valenti and newly promoted creative exec Julia Spiro will oversee for the studio “Sun” tells the story of two teenage twins, Noah and Jude, both budding artists who are torn apart in the wake of a family tragedy, but are reunited as they put the pieces back together. The book has received strong early reviews. Nelson’s debut novel “The Sky Is Everywhere” also received strong reviews. She’s a former literary agent who lives in San Francisco, not far from the settings of “The Sky Is Everywhere” and “I’ll Give You the Sun.” Paradigm represented Jandy in this deal on behalf of Holly McGhee of Pippin Properties.
