The deal was made two months after the film premiered at Tribeca. Producers are David Permut, Matt Ratner and Rick Rosenthal; exec producers are David Beitchman, Adam Brawer, Chris Mangano, Nick Morton, and Lawrence Kopeikin. The comedy drama is adapted from Belber’s 2004 play, which starred Frank Langella, Ray Liotta and Jane Adams. The lead character is an aging dancer, choreographer and teacher whose life in New York is interrupted by a Seattle couple who want to interview him for her thesis. Peter Debruge of Variety gave the film a mixed review. The deal was negotiated by Arianna Bocco for IFC Films with ICM Partners on behalf of the filmmakers. ICM Partners also represents Belber.
