www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=53136Exactly one week following the announcement that Edgar Wright had stepped down as director of "Ant-Man," The Hollywood Reporter has word of directors reportedly meeting with Marvel Studios to fill the void. According to THR, among the candidates are Rawson Thurber ("We're the Millers," "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"), Adam McKay ("Anchorman," "The Other Guys") and Ruben Fleischer ("Zombieland," "Gangster Squad"). Like Wright, all three named directors have plenty of experience with comedy. THR states that Wright, who had been attached to the film since 2006, "clashed with Marvel over the tone of the film." McKay has worked with "Ant-Man" star Paul Rudd before, in both of the "Anchorman" films. Despite the director switch, "Ant-Man" has not moved from its scheduled July 17, 2015 release date.
