The network, the most-watched broadcast outlet in the nation, said it would start its most popular comedy, “The Big Bang Theory” on Monday nights while it broadcast eight weeks of NFL football on the comedy’s regular night, Thursday, before switching it back later in the season. The network also said “Two and a Half Men,” one of its longest-running comedies, would air its last season in 2014-2015, with executive producer Chuck Lorre working on what CBS Enertainent Chairman Nina Tassler called a “season-long event” in the vein of the recently completed season of the departing “How I Met Your Mother” to attract audiences for a farewell.
