New Line is seeking a director. Hawn portrayed a woman who joins the U.S. Army after her new husband, played by Albert Brooks, dies on their wedding night during sex. Wilson will portray a redneck who enlists in the Marines to get out of a tough situation. The original “Private Benjamin,” which also starred Eileen Brennan, was a major hit with $70 million at the domestic box office. Wilson starred in “Pitch Perfect” and is attached to the sequel. She also stars in the ABC sitcom “Super Fun Night.” Gordon’s feature film credits include “2012,” “Source Code,” “Saving Private Ryan” and “10,000 B.C.” He’s also the executive producer of “Criminal Minds” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” Wilson is repped by WME.
