Rumors have been circulating this week regarding former WCW star and TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett, in regards to an alleged "physical altercation" he had with IWA Mid-South promoter Ian Rotten, and his 17-year-old son John Calvin. Rotten claimed that Jeff was upset over an error in payment, became intoxicated and knocked the glasses off Calvin's face, threatening to break them.
An anonymous source close to the situation has informed Wrestlezone that while there was a dispute over payment, Jarrett was neither intoxicated at the event, or "assaulted" John Calvin in any way. Allegedly, Rotten failed to pay Jarrett even half of what was promised him, and Jeff did curse him out twice over the issue, but all the extraneous details were "a complete fabrication". Furthermore, the state of Indiana, where the show took place, prohibits the sale of alcohol on Sundays, and no bar was available at the event.
Several well-known veterans within the industry have reached out to us since the story first broke, backing up Jeff Jarrett's professionalism within companies like WCW, WWE and TNA. "Double J" was attending the IWA Mid-South event this past weekend, along with his wife Karen, scouting talent for their upcoming Global Force Wrestling promotion.

Regarding the incident which took place at the IWA Mid-South event over the weekend, Ian Rotten had stated he was going to file a complaint, but a new statement released on the official IWA Mid-South Facebook page is indicating that will not be taking place.
"Sh*t happens and life goes on, and so does the business of IWA Mid South wrestling. Though some unfortunate events took place last night, they are in the past, done, and over with and I will not be commenting on them in a public forum anymore."
