That covers about 60% of the offshore marketplace where the movie is a dominant No. 1 in all plays. Key results thus far include the UK’s $5M (Thursday opening); Australia’s $3.6M (Thursday opening); Germany’s $3.1M (Thursday bow); and France’s $3.1M after blasting off on Wednesday, where, in terms of admissions, it was the No. 8 start of 2016. Conversely, of the markets released, this Star Wars spinoff posted the highest opening day of 2016 in Australia, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Scandinavia and Switzerland.
