www.pwinsider.com/article/104507/why-pwg-isnt-streaming-heat-on-miz-for-bryan-comments-wwe-overwhelming-fans-with-network-content-and-more.html?p=1I really, really want to see the PWG Battle of Los Angeles, but I don't want to wait for DVDs. Why in the world are they the only company that has yet to leap into streaming media? It is downright stupid that CHIKARA has their shows streaming with a 24 hour turnaround but PWG does not. Any insight? If you enjoy Pro Wrestling Guerrilla as it currently exists, then you need to learn patience. You need to remember that PWG utilizes talents under contract to TNA, Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground as well as international talents who have their own contractual obligations. One of the reasons that PWG is able to have the unique roster that it does is that they film the shows and later release them on DVD. If PWG added streaming media, iPPV, etc., the talents they would have access to as well as how they could be booked would be extremely curtailed. You will have to be patient in order to enjoy PWG....or fly to California. I have made that trip several times and it's always worth the effort.

www.pwinsider.com/article/112865/why-pwg-doesnt-do-ippvs-or-downloads-onita-documentary-barbed-wire-city-and-more.html?p=1WHY PWG DOESN'T DO iPPVS OR DOWNLOADS I don't understand why PWG isn't selling downloads of BOLA or airing the shows on iPPV. It's like they are deciding not to make money. Do you have any insight? Yes, I do. We have covered this many times in the past. There will never be iPPVs because PWG sits in this nexus where they can book anyone they want and not have to worry about contractual issues. Adding live iPPV to that changes the paramaters of who they can book and how they can use them. They don't want to deal with all the red tape and stress that comes with who is under what deal, who can lose to who, etc. They utilize Impact, ROH, Lucha Underground talents on the same shows sometimes, so it could get hairy if they wanted to put the shows on iPPV, plus the shows would end up pirated far quicker. They sell the shows via DVD and Blu-Ray for a time period because they realize if they sell the downloads, they are going to end up on torrent sites and illegal stream sites and there will be a segment of the audience who watch it there and don't pay. Fans are still willing to pay for the content on DVD at www.Highspots.com so as long as PWG can make their money that way, they are going to chase that revenue stream.
