deadline.com/2016/02/a24-the-lobster-colin-farrell-1201703782/In a move that does nothing to instill confidence in distributor Alchemy, A24 has taken over distribution of The Lobster, the Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz pic that got bought last Cannes. Helmed by Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (Dogtooth), the film stars Lea Seydoux, John C. Reilly, Ben Whishaw and Olivia Colman, and it’s a wacky little number about a dystopian society where unmarried people are given 45 days to find a mate, or else they are transformed into the animals of their choice. Alchemy has been on shaky ground since longtime head Bill Lee exited, stage left. THR‘s Tatiana Siegel served up this Lobster course, first.
