FilmRise Continues Acquisition Streak With 'Back in Time,' 'A Faster Horse' and More
The Brooklyn-based media distributor will release nine films on DVD and Blu-ray beginning this fall.
The Brooklyn-based distributor FilmRise has just announced its acquisition of nine films from Gavitas Ventures for home media distribution. The titles, which include "Back to the Future" documentary "Back in Time," David Gelb's "A Faster Horse," and Evel Knievel bio-doc "Being Evel," will begin to be released on DVD and blu-ray as early as this fall.
Other acquired titles include "A Faster Horse," "All Things Must Pass," "Dennis Rodman's Big Bang in Pyongyang," "Landmine Goes Click," "Sneakerheadz," "Addicted to Sexting" and "Chronic-con, Episode 420: A New Dope."
"We are ecstatic to continue our partnership with Gravitas Ventures by releasing this incredible slate of films on DVD and Blu-ray," said FilmRise CEO Danny Fisher. "FilmRise is always looking to reach out to more and more audiences – from sports fans to music aficionados - and the incredible variety of interests that these films highlight will help us do just that."
"We’re very excited to have FilmRise distributing these films to an even wider audience on DVD and Blu-ray," added Nolan Gallagher, CEO of Gravitas Ventures. "We are confident that this will be another successful collaboration between our two companies."
FilmRise has also recently acquired "Going Clear," "Backstreet Boys: Show 'Em What You're Made Of" and "The Nightmare." "Back in Time" will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 21.
