Rob Lorenz, Clint Eastwood's longtime producing partner, has launched his own production company, Stonehouse Motion Pictures, and inked a first-look deal with Warner Bros. For the first project under the new deal, Lorenz, who helmed Trouble with the Curve, will direct an untitled military special ops film, which will be written by Vlas and Charles Parlapanides and Scott Charnick. Warner Bros. optioned a script by former Navy SEAL Travis Lively and his writing partner Richard Ware in connection with the project. Lorenz, Jason Hall and Peter Morgan are developing and producing, and Jon Berg and Racheline Benveniste overseeing for Warner Bros. Lorenz has worked with Eastwood for more than 20 years and served as a partner at the production company Malpaso Productions. Along with working as a producer on several of Eastwood's other films, he also served as a producer and second unit director on American Sniper, which is now the top grossing title of 2014 and has crossed $500 million worldwide. His other producing credits include Jersey Boys, J. Edgar, Invictus and Million Dollar Baby. “Rob is such a wonderfully talented filmmaker and has been a member of the Warner Bros. family for two decades as both a producer and a director, so I’m looking forward to seeing even more successful and original pictures come out of our collaboration with Stonehouse Motion Pictures," said Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production.
