deadline.com/2015/01/dreamworks-animation-layoffs-dawn-taubin-mark-zoradi-1201355945/DreamWorks Animation said in an SEC filing that Chief Marketing Officer Dawn Taubin, COO Mark Zoradi and Vice Chairman Lewis Coleman are exiting the company as part of the restructuring plan. Taubin and Zoradi are leaving before the end of the current quarter, and Coleman — who resigned from the board of directors, effective immediately — will retire on or about January 30. Taubin joined DWA as CMO in August 2013, replacing Anne Globe. From 2002-08, Taubin led domestic marketing at Warner Bros, where she oversaw the Harry Potter franchise, 300: Rise Of An Empire and the launch of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Prior to returning to the studio game she had been a consultant and a professor at Chapman University in Orange, CA. Taubin came aboard after the sputtering Turbo for the first pic under the new distribution arrangement with Fox: The Croods. She then spearheaded campaigns for last year’s How To Train Your Dragon 2, Penguins Of Madagascar and Mr Peabody & Sherman. Zoradi was hired as COO in July, at the same time Coleman — who also is CFO — was moved from President to Vice Chair. Zoradi had been president of Disney’s Motion Picture Group overseeing marketing and distribution until 2010. He also helped to launch Walt Disney Home Entertainment and Disney Channel and served as General Manager of Buena Vista Television.
