Thor 3 to Begin at the End of Avengers: Age of Ultron with Thor, Loki and Heimdall Scene at the End of the Movie
Thor 3 is shaping up to be one of the pivotal movies in the Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The latest news about the movie is that a scene teasing the movie will appear at the end of the Avengers: Age of Ultron. The actor who portrays Heimdall in the first two Thor movies, Idris Elba, has said that him, Chris Hemsworth, and Tom Hiddleston have shot a scene already. Hemsworth and Hiddleston play Thor and Loki respectively in the movies.
Although Elba did not give away what the scene was about, there are already rumors surrounding it. Scarlett Witch will show Thor what is happening to Asgard using her powers, which will cause Thor to want to travel back to Asgard to save his home world. Loki is reportedly in the scene as we said earlier, but we don’t know what role he will have.
Thor 2: The Dark World had Loki disguised as Odin, so presumably he will be a catalyst in Thor 3: Ragnarok. Although Loki isn’t the main character in any Marvel movie he has been in, he has always had a strong supporting role. Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has said that in some ways, Thor 1, the Avengers, and Thor 2: The Dark World, is sort of a trilogy about Loki himself. In addition to Elba leaking the information about the scene that he filmed, there has been some reports that many of the cast members have been called back for two weeks in January to shoot additional scenes for the movie.
The Daily Mail had the report, but they didn’t say what the scenes would be for. Hiddleston was one of the actors that had been reportedly scheduled, so there could be additional scenes with Loki in the movie. The report did make it sound like they just needed the actors available to do some touch up work, but they weren’t 100% certain.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released this summer, so filming has pretty much wrapped up by now. All they need to do is finish editing the CGI for the movie. If all goes well, Thor 3 should set the stage for the possible destruction of Asgard and even the death of Thor or Loki themselves. In the comics, Thor ends up killing Loki during the Ragnarok storyline.
