www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-announces-a-year-inhumans-753437Characters will appear on special covers throughout 2015 ahead of the 2018 movie Although the movie is still more than three years away, Marvel is determined to ensure that fans are familiar with Inhumans by the time they hit the big screen in Summer 2018. With 2015 marking the 50th anniversary of the genetically-modified human concept at the company, it’s been announced that that a series of Inhumans-themed covers will appear across the comic book line throughout the entire year. The first three covers will appear on the debut issues of both Uncanny Avengers Vol. 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Team-Up, as well as the sixth issue of the current Thor series, with Mexican artist José Ladrönn providing the first two and Pasqual Ferry the third. ComicBook.com premiered the first cover Tuesday. The Inhumans concept originated in the 45th issue of Marvel’s Fantastic Four series, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The current comic book incarnation of the concept appears in two contemporary series, Inhuman and Ms. Marvel, both of which launched out of last year’s Inhumanity event. Ahead of the announced Inhumans movie, elements of the concept’s mythology have been appearing in ABC’s Agents of SHIELD series, leading some to speculate that characters from the movie will debut ahead of time on television in order to create anticipation around the relatively obscure property. Try as you might, it’s beginning to look like it’ll be difficult to avoid inhuman activities even before the movie’s Nov. 2, 2018 release.
