Jena Malone Appearing in 'Batman v Superman' in Mystery Role
Jena Malone is in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice cast, multiple sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.
However, whether or not she is playing a female version of Batman’s erstwhile sidekick Robin, remains close to the Bat-chest.

Malone’s name surfaced in a report on WILX-10, a station in Detroit, where the giant Warner Bros. movie is shooting.
The reporter on the scene described a scene that would be shooting – a fight between Batman and Lex Luthor at a swank party that would also involve military person – and then dropped news that the script had Robin be a female character. The reporter also said that Malone could be playing her.
The report then cut to a person claiming to be an extra — and the source of the information— who said that a multimillion dollar lawsuit could be filed for anyone breaking the movie’s non-disclosure agreements. In a bid to protect the source, only the person’s hands were shown, and the voice was altered, but the affair had a Dr. Evil-meets-a-Munchkin vibe.

A female Robin is not out of the realm of possibility for the movie. Director Zack Snyder has said previously that the movie was taking many cues from The Dark Knight Returns, the classic Frank Miller mini-series published in the 1980s. That story introduced Carrie Kelley, a schoolgirl who is saved by the Caped Crusader.
Batman v Superman is also rumored to have as a character Nightwing, who is a former Robin now grown to adulthood.
Warners, as usual, had no comment.
