Orion, recently revived by MGM as a multi-platform distribution arm, will open We’ll Never Have Paris on January 22 in a limited theatrical run ahead of a premium VOD debut. Helberg wrote the story based on his real-life romance with wife Jocelyn Towne, who also co-directed. Helberg plays a neurotic man whose quarter-life crisis explodes when an attractive co-worker confesses her love and prompts him to leave his longtime girlfriend (Melanie Lynskey). Regretting his decision, he follows his true love to Paris to win her back. Zachary Quinto, Alfred Molina, Jason Ritter, and Maggie Grace also star in the film, which premiered this year at SXSW. Robert Ogden Barnum, Katie Mustard, Helberg, and Towne are producers. Marc Platt, Cassian Elwes, and Judd Rubin are exec producers. Helberg and Towne are repped by UTA, whose Independent Film Group negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers. K5 International will be handling foreign sales for the film.
