variety.com/2014/film/news/anna-kendricks-last-five-years-sells-out-foreign-markets-exclusive-1201277439/Anna Kendrick’s musical “The Last Five Years” has sold out most key international markets prior to its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. “Five Years,” adapted and directed by Richard LaGravenese from the Broadway musical, is about a struggling actress portrayed by Kendrick and her novelist lover played by Jeremy Jordan (“Smash”) as they look back on the last half-decade of their relationship from very different viewpoints. Producers are Lauren Versel, Kurt Deutsch and Janet Brenner. The Exchange has closed sales including the U.K. to Icon Film Distribution, Portugal to Zon Lusomundo Audiovisuais, Eastern Europe to Voxell Copyrights, China to DDDream International Media, India to Pictureworks, Japan to Broadmedia Studios Corp., South Korea to Sonamu Pictures Co. and Australia/New Zealand to Regency Media. “Carrying universal themes through the unifying power of song, audiences will fall in love with this film the way we have,” said Brian O’Shea of The Exchange. Kendrick can currently be seen in “Happy Christmas.” She will appear as Cinderella in Disney’s “Into the Woods” this December.
