Lawrence Sher is attached to direct from Justin Malen’s script about two siblings who were raised believing their father was dead, only to find their mother was sleeping with many powerful celebrities — leading to the duo to set out on a roadtrip to find their real father. Ali Bell, Tom Pollock and Ivan Reitman of Montecito Picture Company are producing. Warner Bros would distribute the film via Alcon’s output deal. Sher was the director of photography on all three “Hangover” films as well as “The Dictator” starring Sacha Baron Cohen for Paramount Pictures. He recently finished work on Zach Braff’s film “Wish I Was Here.” “Bastards” will mark Sher’s directorial debut. Alcon produced “Transcendence” and the upcoming “Dolphin Tale 2″ and “Point Break.” Chris Fenton and Chris Cowles are exec producing. News was first reported by the Tracking Board.
