variety.com/2014/tv/news/pgs-sells-playmobil-skein-super-4-across-europe-asia-and-north-america-1201262505/PARIS– French brand manager and licensing agent PGS Entertainment has closed a raft of sales on “Super 4,” the Playmobil-inspired toon series, across Europe, Asia, and North America Produced by Method Animation and Morgen Studios, the series sold to Neox Kidz (Atresmedia) in Spain, TV3 in Catalonia, Canal Panda in Portugal, RTBF in Belgium, RTS in Switzerland, RTL téléKids in Netherlands & Luxembourg, MTV3 in Finland, Canal+ in Poland, Noga in Israel, Workpoint in Thailand and Radio-Canada in Canada. Pubcaster France Télévisions commissioned the show in Gaul. “Super 4 ” is a CGI comedy/adventure series featuring four key characters – Alex the Knight, Ruby the Pirate, Agent Gene, and Twinkle the Fairy — who travel through five extraordinary islands with their multi-transformable vehicle, Chameleon. “Super 4″ marks the first time the 40-year-old children’s brand, Playmobil, has come to TV. “We are very pleased that, following the delivery of the first episodes of the show, ‘Super 4′ is creating so much excitement among buyers. Method and Morgen are delivering a unique show which, for the first time in animation, has a storyline that mixes fairies, knights, pirates and robots all together!” said Philippe Soutter, co-founder of PGS Entertainment. Set to debut in early 2015, “Super 4″ was previously acquired by CiTV in the U.K., as well as Cartoon Network in Italy and Latin America.
