Warner Bros. will present the films “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Jupiter Ascending” during its studio presentation inside the San Diego Convention Center’s massive Hall H at Comic-Con later this month.
Missing from its lineup was “Batman v. Superman,” a curious omission considering director Zack Snyder announced the film at last year’s event and typically promotes his projects at the show.
Peter Jackson is set to take the stage to promote the final installment of the “The Hobbit” trilogy, while George Miller will present “Mad Max.” Warner Bros. has yet to say who will attend for “Jupiter Ascending.”
The day before the start of Comic-Con, Warner Bros. will screen tornado thriller “Into the Storm,” on July 23rd at the Gas Lamp Theatre.
Warner Bros. Television already had announced 15 TV shows it will take to the fanfest. It will have panels for “The Big Bang Theory,” “The Following,” “Supernatural,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “Teen Titans Go!” and screen pilots for “The Flash” and “Gotham” while showing off footage for “Constantine” and “Arrow.”
Warner Bros. Interactive also will showcase new videogames “Batman: Arkham Knight,” “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham” and “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor;” while WB’s homevideo division will promote “Batman: The Complete Television Series,” “Scooby-Doo! Frankencreepy” and Legendary’s “Godzilla,” with an interactive display on the lawn behind Hall H.
In addition to 20 panels that will feature the comicbook company’s artists and creators, DC Entertainment will also fete Batman’s 75th anniversary with panels, and the Batsuits worn by Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton on display at the comicbook company’s booth.
San Diego Comic-Con takes place July 24-27.
